Boiler Grants
As part of the Energy Company Obligation (ECO) scheme, boiler grants are being allocated throughout the UK, available to many homeowners and tenants in England, Scotland and Wales.
Energy suppliers will install a free replacement, energy efficient boiler in qualifying households. The energy suppliers installing the boilers depends on the location and type of property, but the householder does not need to be an existing customer as their obligation extends to all UK households.
The scheme provides Government funding for energy-efficient, condensing boilers, which reduce carbon emissions and can save around £300 per year on your fuel bills. This is part of the Home Heating Cost Reduction Obligation (HHCRO) scheme or "Affordable Warmth" which is aimed at addressing fuel poverty in across the UK.
The boilers have an efficiency rating of A which will heat your property and hot water using less fuel, therefore reducing your home energy costs.
The easiest way to see if you or your household qualifies is to complete the short application form and an assessor will advise you of the current grants available to you. They will also keep your details on file and advise of any future measures you will qualify for.
Are you eligible for the government ECO scheme?
Underfloor Heating is not for every household, many of the newer builds have a concrete base and therefore cannot be improved without expensive and very messy removal of existing materials, if you have a basement, cellar or suspended floor beneath your property then its almost certain you will qualify.
